Jonathan Reimer is a wildfire incident commander and operational researcher. He led response on Canada’s largest wildfire disaster, was a National Incident Management Team member, and a Director of BC’s Provincial Emergency Coordination Centre.
His contributions on high stakes judgement under uncertainty have been featured by TED and the Canadian Interagency Forest Fire Centre. He holds a Master of Science degree in Environment and Management and is an AFE-certified Wildland Fire Manager. He is currently Emergency Manager for the Capital Regional District, Chair of the CIFFC Firesight project, and CEO of Emergent Risk Management.
