Scott Pokswinski is a research scientist at New Mexico Consortium. Scott specializes in adapting cutting edge research to management applications. His recent work has integrated remote sensing technologies with monitoring and modeling technologies to increase the quality and efficiency of data used by fire and land managers to make management decisions. Scott works with a diverse range of researchers including physicists, biologists, archeologists, meteorologists and foresters integrating fire, fuels, soils, flora and fauna data to assist in the development of the new discipline of Prescribed Fire Science.
