Vibrant Planet is a hybrid organization comprised of a 501(c)(3)—the Vibrant Planet Data Commons, which stewards resilience-focused data for the public good—and a mission-driven Public Benefit Corporation building decision support solutions for wildland resiliency, watershed health, public safety, and community resilience. Their subsidiary, Pyrologix, brings decades of experience in wildfire hazard and risk modeling. The Vibrant Planet Data Commons commissions and hosts open scientific research, featuring regularly updated data on wildfire ignition probability, landscape disturbance-succession, and canopy height models. Since May 2025, Vibrant Planet and the Wildfire Science & Technology Commons have partnered through the use of the Wildfire Commons, listing available data on the Community Catalog, and participating in the Opportunity Assessment Working Group.
