Experienced in national wildfire suppression as a Type 1 resource responding to high-priority fires with chainsaws, hand tools, and firing devices. Highly competent at mechanical thinning and practiced with prescribed fire.

Backgrounds in wildland fire and emergency management. Co-author of "The Next Generation Core Competencies for Emergency Management Professionals," consultant to Save the Children, co-founder of The Adapt Institute, and original developer of the Center for Homeland Defense and Security's Systems Thinking Course.
