Carl Norlen

Physical Scientist

Dr. Norlen studies the impacts of climate change on ecosystems and society and how land management can promote societal goals. Before earning a PhD from University of California, Irvine Dr. Norlen was a middle school science teacher in Gwinnett County, Georgia, and a high school college access professional with the Upward Bound Programs at University of California, Riverside. Dr. Norlen is passionate about making science actionable through meaningful and sustained partnerships with people of all types to advance solutions to equitably solve problems like climate change.
