The Proactive Wildfire & Environmental Sustainability Solutions (ProWESS) Center is transforming how cutting-edge research advances into scalable, real-world solutions for increasingly devastating wildland fires. As a collaboration between UC San Diego's Societal Computing and Innovation Lab and Los Alamos National Laboratory, ProWESS accelerates the advancement of science and technology as the foundation for responsible and proactive approaches to wildfire challenges. Since 2024, ProWESS has been the driving force behind the Wildfire Science & Technology Commons, creating a comprehensive platform that unites data, models, computing resources, and expertise across disciplines.
